Questions-What is a blog?

  1. What is the difference between a blog and a book?
A book has many space limitations compared to a blog. In other words, in a blog your are able to go astray on topics and communicate your opinions and ideas much more freely. In a blog there exists no specific restrictions and it is much more concise than a book.
Also there exists certain tools such as links which allow the 'blogger' to explore the topic much further and analyze different opinions concerning the subject.

2. How have blogs changed recently?

Blogs have become much more personal over the years. At times, you may find that there may be conversations that have nothing whatsoever to do with your topic.  Blogs are also much more common, as if to say, not only are they used to share common interest or gossip but they are also used as a tool to educate recent generations.

3. Why might you read a blog?

As previously mentioned, the purpose of a blog could be to educate an individual on a specific topic therefore you may participate in a blog with the purpose of gaining some sort of knowledge.
But the most common reason for using a blog is when the subject matter is appealing to you.

4. Is there a reason to doubt the objectivity of a blog? Why? Why not?

In my opinion the purpose of a blog is for you to state your opinion and for other people that may have the same or different views discuss your ideas. Therefore every blog will always have a certain biased opinion to it which will eventually change they way you express your opinion and the objective of your blog.

5. Identify 3 blogs that mention summer reading.
